Nigerian Army wing commander brutalizes Senior Registrar, Psychiatry, Obafemi Awolowo University

We (Graduating Class of Medical Doctors & Dentists)feel obliged to inform you of a disastrous and mind troubling incident. Dr Theresa is a Senior Registrar 1 in the department of Psychiatry of Obafemi AwolowoUniversity Teaching Hospital (Ile-Ife). She is a very gentle, easy going, ever smiling and hardworking resident doctor.
This incident occurred at her residence in the early hours of Thursday 25th February 2016 in her service apartment building situated outside the hospital where she resides. Dr. Okpara, [A Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force] who is a resident Doctor in the Dept of Community Medicine in the same hospital where Theresa works also resides in that compound.
The parking lot within the compound is inadequate and as such tenants would have to occasionally call each other (through the security guard) to move their cars in the morning so that individuals are able to drive out. According to an eye witness (who is a doctor in the same hospital and also lives within the same compound), Dr Theresa's car was obstructing Dr. Okpara's car and he called her out to move her car. She had told him she was dressing up and would soon be out but he kept shouting and calling her. When she came out, he was still abusing her and being verbally aggressive. She then told him to take it easy since she had already told him she was dressing up and reminded him that he also does the same thing whenever his car is obstructing someone else's.

As Theresa came out, entered her car and fastened her seat belt to drive out of the parking lot, Dr. Okpara continued barking asking her to move her car out, she told him she was already in the car and asked if he wanted to move it out himself? He then said he will teach her a lesson and went swiflty around the car, opened her car door and held her dress and punched her face several times. The Co-tenants had to run out to pull him away from her. At a point he reached for his metal pedal lock and was again restrained by tenants.

Following the incident he showed no remorse, as he continued in his verbal aggression with his shirt buttons undone calling her names. He also dared her to call whoever in Abuja suggesting that he was above the law as she made attempts to make calls after the incident. Dr. Theresa was rushed to the hospital as being a known Sickle cell disease patient, her health was paramount at the time. On arrival, it was confirmed that indeed she had Cerebrospinal fluid leaking from her brain. This continued to be copious before ameliorating after some hours. In adition to the frontal bone fracture detected initially, a further depressed nasal bone fracture was detected on CT scan. Theresa now has to decide between going for surgery to correct the facial deformity or live with a disfigured face.
Please join us in prayers for Theresa's quick recovery, while we fight to ensure that Dr. Okpara is brought to Justice.
Thank you all.

Abducted girl says she would rather be a muslim and remain with her lover in Kano State.

According to Premium Times, Ese Oruru, who was allegedly kidnapped from Bayelsa State to Kano, said she was not interested in reuniting with her family and denied reports that she was abducted from her home in Bayelsa State. In an exclusive audio recording obtained by the online publication today, the girl also said she eloped with her lover to Kano in order to convert to Islam.

“My name is Aisha Chuwas. I am 17-year-old. I came here to be a Muslim and I will stay here.”

Human rights lawyer, Huwaila Mohammed, who was given access to the girl at the Zonal Police Headquarters in Kano, said upon interrogation, she understood the girl was never forced to convert to Islam. She also had access to Miss Oruru’s lover and established that he is just 18 years old, 'not anywhere above 20'.

“I was surprised when I saw a very small boy. He is just 18-year old. I was enraged thinking that it was an old man involved in the saga. From the way I see it, they eloped not because of religion but love,” she said.

Zimbabwe's godmother of prostitutes who had sex with over 4000 men retires

                    1

She lives in Mount Darwin, the town that lies in the Mount Darwin District, in Mashona land Central Province in northeastern Zimbabwe. She is considered the godmother of all sex workers in and around Madondo shopping center and sex workers bow before her.

“The only work that I have done in my life is to sell sex services for close to three decades; I am 55 years now and I don’t remember the exact number of men that I have offered services. The number may be as high as 4000 men,” Kandeya says. She confessed that used to sleep with more than 7 men per day. But now things have changed. Before retirement, it’s one or two men per month.

It seems that woman likes her life and even lives in harmony with herself. She managed to buy a stand in the town, built a house and also sent her children to school. When it comes to competition with young and energetic sex workers, Kandeya has the wisdom strategy: “I don’t compete with them; I assist them whenever it’s necessary and I have opened a register to know which sex worker is at Madondo shopping center in case something happens to them.”

The woman even sub-divided her house into several rooms where they stay and pay her rentals. Sometimes when business is low, she gives them time to make money and pay later. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter From time to time Kandeya also puts one’s hand to the plow: “With age, I now have very few clients that I serve personally and two permanent one who come for the ‘good service.’
2

It’s not a secret, I am HIV positive, but that’s not the reason for retirement, it has to do with age. I got tested in 2005, that’s when I discovered that I am HIV positive and since then I have been living positively and now l also educate younger sex workers the use of condoms.” Kandeya also notes that the current economic challenges in the country affected her business.

“Sex workers here are even paid $1 for a quickie and $5 for the rest of the night, but long ago, they used to charge between $10 and $20 a night,” she sighs. So she took her retirement the right time. But lots of grateful clients will not soon forget Kandeya.

Woman files for divorce from husband who duped and tricked her

                    wife sues husband

Naij.com reports:
The aggrieved wife, Helen Owie, who hails from Edo state, asked the Asaba high court 3, on February 23, to recover €550,000 (about N119million) from her estranged husband, Chidi Ike, an Imo state indigene. While under cross-examination by her counsel, Mr Raphael Okhouoleigbe, a tearful Helen had this to say:

“I was contacted by one of my customers in Benin City where I was then trading in clothes around New Benin Market in 2009, by one Obinna who later introduced me to my husband Chidi. I showed interest that I will marry the brother after we had discussed and my photograph was sent to Chidi in far away Owerri. Three weeks later, Chidi and I met and we started planning marriage. In the process I got a visa to travel to Italy and in 2012 I returned to Nigeria for the marriage.

After the marriage, Chidi my husband demanded for a loan of N3m and I loaned him €550,000 and also sponsored our marriage for N180,000. I spent 2 years in Europe and when I returned home, my husband Chidi refused to make love to me for the three years, I spent in Nigeria. Each time I asked him to impregnate me, he will ‘dribble’ me. Unknown to me he had a wife and children in Mbaise, Imo State, but he told me he was never married when I met him. He moved into Asaba after our marriage.”

According to the prosecutor, Elizabeth Ezeh, Chidi has been arrested and detained at the division ‘A’ police station in Asaba. Chidi was allegedly arrested for fraud and was later granted bail. He was charged to court on 3 counts of conspiracy, stealing and obtaining under false pretense.

The remorseful mother added: “God punish me if I have done anything wrong to my son who I love so much and have prayed for years to conceive and give birth to.” According to local media reports, the boy had been suffering from constant fever and had malformed genitals that tricked Irene into believing a dark force is behind her son’s condition. 6 year-old pupil raped by two her teachers

Laila's blog reports:
A six year old female pupil at the De-Emerates Nursery School, at highbrow Rijiyar Zaki Quarters of Kano State, was allegedly raped by two of her teachers

The mother of the victim, said that she had taken her daughter to school on Thursday at 7am. When she returned later that afternoon, at about 1pm, she was told that her daughter had fallen sick.

According to the mother who spoke with SaharaReporters, “a female staff informed me that she was sick and cannot even stand on her feet.”

At Murtala Muhammad General Hospital the mother was informed that, due to the seriousness of injury inflicted on her daughter, a police officer or Hisbah Official must be informed. The official and medical professionals then told the mother that her daughter was in urgent need of medical attention because of the severity of her rape.

When the little girl regained consciousness at the hospital, she told those present that it was “Uncle Bello and Uncle Sulaiman” in the morning who had told her to lie down and bring something out of their trousers and “put it here [referencing to her private parts].”

A journalist tried to speak with Hajiya Ruqayya, the school Proprietress, but she denied that the rape took place at her school and asked him to leave immediately.

See the lady who wants to legalize incest and necrophilia in Sweden

incest
Members of one of Sweden’s major political parties have shocked by world by declaring their position on incest and necrophilia:  They want to make it legal! Several young members of the Liberal People’s Party (LPP), led by the chairman of the Stockholm branch Cecilia Johnnson, have made their support for sex with the dead and sexual relations between family members public. Johnnson told the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that laws against incest, necrophilia, and other sexual depravity are wrong and protect no-one.

“We don’t like morality laws in general, and this legislation is not protecting anyone right now,” she said. “I understand that it [necrophilia and incest] can be seen as unusual and disgusting but legislation can not be based on it being disgusting.” Her anti-morality policies were supported by the LPP’s entire youth wing at a vote over the weekend.

If adopted as law, two family members who are both over the age of 15 who want to have sexual relations with each over would be entirely free to do so. Also, if a person states in their final will and testament that they want to leave their body behind for people to have sex with it, they would be free to do so also. “It should be your own decision what happens with your body after you die, and if that happens to be that you want to bequeath your remains to a museum or to science, or if you want to bequeath your remains to someone to sleep with them, then that should be OK,” Ms Johnsson

Sweden is considered to be one of the most liberal countries in the world and is stereotyped for having loose sexual morals. Unlike Nigeria where homosexuality is illegal, in Sweden gay marriage has been permitted since 2009, and gay people can adopt children as well. Incest and necrophilia however remain taboo topics in the Scandinavian nation.

18 year-old says she enjoyed being raped by 5 boys and her father.

First_glimpse_Photos_taken_outside_the_offices_of_the_NYPD_Speci-m-5_1452760413545
Five teenagers have been accused of defiling an 18-year-old lady but she has admitted to being in support of the said act. Daily Mail reports that the lady (name withheld), reportedly said that the sex romp with the young men at a playground in Brooklyn, was consensual as her father was also one of those who took turns to defile her. After her confession, the five teenagers, who had been charged with rape, were released because there was no further evidence for prosecution. The allegations against Denzel Murray, 14, Shaquell Cooper and Ethan Phillip, both 15, and Onandi Brown and Travis Beckford, both 17, were said to have been dropped by the Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson in an announcement on Wednesday afternoon.

A statement from the attorney’s office read: “Working closely with the NYPD, my office has thoroughly investigated disturbing and very serious allegations of a gang rape at gunpoint last month inside the Osborn Playground in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. “The complainant, as well as her father, provided multiple inconsistent accounts to NYPD Detectives and to experienced Special Victims prosecutors about important material facts in this case.”

‘The complainant has recanted her allegations of forcible sexual assault and the existence of a gun, and she does not wish to pursue criminal charges against any of the defendants.” A disappointed Thompson also rued the refusal of the young lady to cooperate in the prosecution process, especially as it may also be against her father. “She also refuses to cooperate with any prosecution against her father, who was engaging in sexual conduct with her.
                                   Murray, one of the suspects

“That night, this young woman’s father and the five young men engaged in conduct that was reprehensible and wrong, but because of the lack of reliable evidence, criminal charges simply cannot be sustained,” the legal practitioner added. While hoping that the young lady gets the support she requires to move on in life, the Attorney said that victim advocates have been working with her and will assist her in anyway she may need one.

The five teens accused as adults, had each been charged with one count of rape, two counts of criminal sex act, and one count of sex abuse in connection with the alleged assault. In explaining her side of the story initially, the lady had said that she was scared when her father took off running and left the men to take turns raping her and after initially refusing to go to hospital, she was taken by ambulance and interviewed the next day. Her latest confession, however, she maintained that they had consensual encounter and does not think anyone should be blamed, which resulted in the release of the perpetrators.

Trader rapes little boy, damages his anus

Christopher, a primary 1 pupil, who stayed with his family on Coker Alhaja Street, Old Akute Road, Iju, opened up to his mother that Isiaka allegedly raped him through the anus at different times when she sent him to buy items from the trader.

The boy was taken to the Mirabel Centre for tests which revealed that the boy had been slept with
through the anus. Further tests to ascertain infections were carried out on him.

The mother thereafter reported the matter at the police station and Isiaka was arrested on Saturday.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Christopher also told his mother that he could not open up on the incident because the suspect allegedly threatened that he (Christopher) would die if he reported anything to his parents.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro, a neighbour, who identified herself only as Olawumi, said the parents first became suspicious when Christopher was sent on an errand penultimate Monday and he came back with his pants soaked after staying longer than usual.

She said:
“Isiaka sells items across the road in his shop. The boy’s parents used to send him on errands to the shops. He bought household items like sugar, milk and biscuits from Isiaka. We call him mallam.
It was on Saturday that the boy got the courage to open up on the incident. The boy said mallam had been raping him in his shop anytime he ran errands for his parents.

The boy said the mallam warned him that if he opened up to his mother, he was going to die. The mother calmed him that he was not going to die as the mallam threatened.
About two Mondays ago, the boy came back from school and he was asked to go and buy items from the shop. He came back with his pants soaked. He later confessed that the mallam had raped him about eight times.”
Another neighbour, who gave his name as Chukwuka, said:
“The mallam is not known with any wife though he has stayed long in this area. The baffling thing is how he did it eight times and nobody caught him for once in the shop.
The boy went to the hospital on Sunday and the tests came out positive that he had been raped. The mallam is still denying it, but the boy insisted that it was him and the tests had also confirmed the assault.”
Christopher’s mother, who did not want her name in print, said the boy’s anus was wider than hers, and if not for her persistence, her son would not have opened up as he was afraid of the mallam.

She said:
“We have gone to the hospital and they have given him some drugs. We were supposed to go to the hospital again.
If you see my boy’s anus, it is no longer like a child’s. It is wider than my own. Ordinarily, he is an agile child, but he suddenly became cold recently. If not for the Spirit of God, I would not know since he is not a girl. I would never think anyone could be raping my boy.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed Isiaka’s arrest, adding that the case had been transferred to the Isokoko division for prosecution.

She said, “The suspect was arrested for allegedly defiling the nine-year-old boy.

“The case is now at the Isokoko division where we have the Family Support Unit which handles cases of domestic and sexual violence. Justice will be done in the matter.”

Borno relocates 4500 IDPs

Children-IDP-camp-Maiduguri-Borno

The Borno state relocation committee (SREC) has commenced the evacuation of 4,500 internally displaced persons (IDPs) from public schools to the Bakassi camp in Maiduguri metropolis. Naij.com reports that the relocation exercise, which commenced at 8 a.m  was coordinated by the military and other security agencies amid tight security.

Addressing journalists on the exercise at Government College, Maiduguri, on Monday, February 22, the Borno state commissioner for education, Musa Inuwa Kubo disclosed that the camp had the basic facilities for family sized tents, water and security.  Kubo who doubles as SREC chairman commended the willingness of the IDPs to be relocated to the camp adding that there are facilities that would ensure their safety and well-being in the new location.

“I have already addressed the IDPs on their relocation from this college to a camp at Bakkasi Housing Estate. In the camp, there is adequate water supply, there are toilets; and we have also  collaborated with the military and other security agencies for a smooth relocation exercise that had been delayed for over two months.

“So with these facilities in place at Bakassi, security of displaced persons is going to be no problem. “They will be resettled in the family size tent of eight persons,” he added. Meanwhile, Saratu Ishaku, an internally displaced person at the New Kuchingoro IDP camp in Abuja who is currently suffering from a rare health condition has called for medical assistance from good spirited Nigerians.

Woman narrates how Boko Haram attacks gave her a rare medical condition and how she continues to suffer at the IDP camp

Saratu Ishaku laying down in pain

Naij.com interviewed the lady pictured above at an IDP camp. Read the interview and watch the video below...
“This sickness started about two years ago when Boko Haram terrorists attacked my village in Gwoza. I went to the Maitama general hospital and I was diagnosed of ulcer, they also told me that I had high blood pressure. They treated me but I still, I do not feel any better. “Apart from my husband and children, nobody helps me here in the camp and they all know that I have been ill for a long time now. They do not even come close to me.

When asked why she laid under the tree in a nearby bush, she said: “Here is a bit cool. The house I stay in the camp is made of polythene material which is usually hot especially in the afternoon. The only problem is the bad odour.”
Some houses at the New Kuchingoro IDP camp in Abuja

Her husband, Mr Ishiaku who was in a sad mood as at the time of the visit, said that Saratu’ condition could have been prompted by lack of food while in the bush. “When the Boko Haram terrorists attacked our village, we ran and spent many days without food or water in the bush. We even had to climb mountains in the process. Later she began to complain of pain by the left side of her stomach.” “She visited different hospitals even here in Abuja but still, no improvement. I am tired! I have left everything for God. If Nigerians can help her get well, I will be very happy because we have tried in our own little way,” he said in low tone. Watch the video here:

“On Feb.17, at about 1 p.m., while the complainant was asleep, the convict went to his place and physically assaulted him.
“In the process, he intentionally grabbed Usman’s penis with his hands, pulling it out,’’ Urom said.
The prosecutor said that as a result of that serious injuries were afflicted on Usman’s scrotal skin.
“Usman’s hanging right testicle was exposed. It was Rabiu’s intention to completely pull it out before nearby neighbours came to the rescue,’’ he said.
“The victim, who by then, was in a bad state, had to be rushed to the police hospital for treatment.
Urom said that due to the severity of the situation, Usman was transferred to National hospital, Abuja, for surgery.
He said the offence contravened Sections 265, 247 and 397(b) of the Penal Code.

4 year-old boy sentenced to ‘life imprisonment’ for alleged crimes committed 2 years ago

Laila reports:
In a grotesquely strange move, a court in Western Cairo this week sentenced a four-year-old boy to life in prison on various heinous charges bordering on murder, inciting riots, destruction of government property and threatening cops, The Jerusalem Post reports.

The little boy, Ahmed Mansour Karni, who was born in September 2012, got the life in prison term on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, after being convicted in absentia of offenses that allegedly occurred two years ago.

Although the boy was less than two years old during the civil unrest in 2014, he was convicted in absentia due to a clerical error and the court’s incompetence.

It was gathered that Karni was listed as “wanted” for murder, disturbance of the peace and damaging state property in an indictment that listed 115 other defendants sentenced to life imprisonment.

The indictment stated the charges against the youngster in full as four counts of murder, eight counts of attempted murder, vandalising property belonging to the Egyptian Health Administration in his home province of el-Fayoum, threatening soldiers and police officers and damaging vehicles belonging to security forces.

Although Karni’s birth certificate was presented to the court, one of his defense attorneys accused the presiding judge of failing to review the case before abruptly passing down a life sentence on a four-year-old child.

Lawyer Faisal a-Sayd asserted, “The child Ahmed Mansour Karni’s birth certificate was presented after state security forces added his name to the list of accused, but then the case was transferred to the military court and the child was sentenced in absentia in an ensuing court hearing. This proves that the judge did not read the case."

Another Egyptian lawyer Mohammed Abu Hurira issued a fiery response, writing:

“On the eve of injustice and madness in Egypt, a four year-old child was sentenced to life imprisonment. He is accused of disturbance, damage to property and murder. The Egyptian scales of justice are not reversible. There is no justice in Egypt. No reason. Logic committed suicide a while ago. Egypt went crazy. Egypt is ruled by a bunch of lunatics.”

The sentencing also set social media ablaze as netizens pour out their spleen on the Egyptian legal system, accusing the government of corruption and injustice.

A blogger and wife of Egyptian human rights activist Nibin Melek wrote in a post that the sentencing “was a blind decision.”

Aside from ruthlessly punishing innocent children, the Egyptian government has become notorious for imprisoning journalists and escalating police brutality in recent years.

Catholic Priest Batters 70-year--Old Man

Worshippers at St Dominic’s Catholic Church, Adazi Enu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State were shocked on Friday when a US-based Catholic priest, Rev. Father Mike Steve Ezeatu, descended on a 70-year-old man and beat him blue black.

Parishioners told Southern City News that the priest had finished celebrating a funeral mass and was about entering his SUV when he sighted the old man identified as Innocent Nwolisa and beckoned on him to come closer.

Obeying the call, Nwolisa approached the cleric, who descended on him, accusing the old man of charming him while he was celebrating mass on the pulpit.

Narrating the story, the first son of the victim, Ebuka Nwolisa, said his father was about to leave the compound of Ifedigbo in Ugweni Ojii, where the funeral mass of one late Ifeoma Ifedigbo, had just been celebrated by Ezeatu, when he was called back by the priest

“I think my father went because we are related to the priest and they know each other. My father thought the priest might be calling him to give him special blessing, but what he got was a beating.

“The only saving grace he (reverend father) had was that I was not around; that was why he got way with his action,” an angry Ebuka explained.

Another eyewitness, Mr. Arinze Ezeatu, who is a younger brother of the priest said, “Father Mike complained that the old man was releasing evil powers on him while he was at the altar celebrating the mass, and that was the reason for his action.

Arinze and Olisa Ezeatu, both younger and elder brothers of the priest, maintained that it was not true that Nwolisa was releasing evil powers on him, but that the reverend father was suspecting that the old man may have supported his brothers, whom the priest has for long been at loggerheads with over land.

According to them, “The priest is our brother, but he is more like a curse to us than a blessing. He is based in the US, and can be described as a businessman than a clergy. Because he has money, he has grabbed all our land and we have been in dispute with him.

“We have even reported him to the Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, yet he has not let go. The man he beat up is an elder in our extended family, and he has been advising the priest to relinquish the land to us and even settle our rift.

“We think he simply suspected that the man has started siding us after knowing the truth. That is why he beat him up on Friday after celebrating mass.”

Meanwhile, Ebuka the first son of the victim, who led his younger brother to the resident Parish priest of St Dominic’s parish to complain about the incident, told Southern City News that his father was recovering.

When Southern City News contacted Mr. Abuchi Onwumelu, the Press Secretary to the Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev, Paulinus Ezeokafor, he (Onwumelu) declined comment.

Female suicide bombers attack Cameroon market, leaves 19 dead

Two suicide bombers killed at least 19 people and injured 50 others in a market in Meme, northern Cameroon, on Friday, February 19, military sources told Reuters. However, while AFP reported the identities of the suicide bombers to be males, Reuters claimed they were female bombers.

It was gathered that the two suicide bombers walked into the market and blew themselves up. According to one of the officials based in northern Cameroon, the number of dead and injured is subject to change.

There has so far been no official claim of responsibility for the attack, but officials pointed the finger at Nigeria-based Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram. Boko Haram began targeting Cameroonian territory in 2013, with more than 1,200 people killed in attacks, according to the Cameroon government and military sources.

The Nigerian-based jihadist group has killed at least 17,000 people and left more than 2.6 million others homeless since their six-year campaign began. This perhaps is why the US military now calls it the most lethal violent extremist group in the world.

Girl from Niger takes a stand against forced marriage

forced marriage
Balkissa Chaibou dreamed of becoming a doctor, but when she was 12 she was shocked to learn she had been promised as a bride to her cousin. She decided to fight for her rights – even if that meant taking her own family to court. “I came from school at around 18:00, and Mum called me,” Balkissa Chaibou recalls. “She pointed to a group of visitors and said of one of them, ‘He is the one who will marry you.’ “I thought she was joking. And she told me, ‘Go unbraid, and wash your hair.’ That is when I realised she was serious.”

The young girl from Niger had always been ambitious. “When I was little, I was dreaming of becoming a doctor. Take care of people, wear the white coat. Help people,” she says. Marriage to her cousin, who had arrived with his father from neighbouring Nigeria, would make this impossible.

“They said if you marry him you won’t be able to study any more. For me my passion is studying. I really like to study. That’s when I realised that my relationship with him wouldn’t work well.” Niger’s tradition of marrying its girls young – it has the highest rate of child marriage in the world – is partly rooted in its grinding poverty. A life of shame if you don’t find marriage “The dynamic works in this way: I have lots of children, and if I can marry off one child that is one child less that I have to feed,” explains Monique Clesca, the United Nations Population Fund’s representative in Niger.

Balkissa Chaibou’s parents had five daughters, so from their perspective marrying her to her cousin may have made economic sense. But another reason for the tradition of early marriage in Niger is the belief that it reduces the risk of pregnancy outside wedlock. “Nowadays some children are not well brought up,” says Hadiza Almahamoud, Chaibou’s mother. “If they are not married off at an early age, they can bring shame to the family.”

Nurse lures woman to UK as sex slave, makes her swear a juju oath

                                         human trafficking
Florence Obadiaru, 50, and her two fellow gang members, Olusoji Oluwafemi and Johnson Olayinka, have lured an unnamed Nigerian woman to the Great Britain promising her job to repay the debt but when she arrived forced her into prostitution instead.

The 23-year-old entered the country using a bogus passport in September 2011, whereupon she was kept at Obadiaru’s house pending her transfer to Italy to work as a sex slave. Luckily, Italian officials noted the woman’s false ID and sent her back to the UK. Shortly afterwards Obadiaru, who had worked as a carer for ten year, and her accomplices were arrested and brought to justice. Jailing the trio, Judge Rebecca Poulet QC had said: “This was a sophisticated and carefully planned operation in Nigeria which must have cost a considerable amount of money to the traffickers. The expected returns were also considerable. She was subjected to a juju ritual with the threat of death.

She would have been forced into controlled prostitution as she had no possible way in which she could conceivably support herself in Italy. While I doubt this was the first trafficking you were involved in I do sentence you on the basis that this involved just the one victim.” Obadiaru, from Brockley, south-east London, was jailed for two years, while Olusoji Oluwafemi and Johnson Olayinka were jailed for six-and-a-half years and four-and-a-half years respectively. The woman is just one of many victims of an organised crime group based in Africa which traffics young women through England to work as prostitutes in mainland Europe.

See how this grandmother tortured her grandchild because she ate her food.

Tope-Oke
A wicked grandmother identified as Bosede Adebayo has brutally tortured her granddaughter, Tope Oke, with a pot of hot water for taking and eating food without her permission. According to New Telegraph the 8-year-old girl, a primary two pupil of St. James Primary School in Ijeun-Tuntun, Abeokuta, was admitted at the state hospital with serious injuries, while her grandmother was arrested by the Ogun state police command.

On the fateful day, the woman returned from a party with cooked rice served at the ceremony and kept it in the kitchen. The grandchild, who was very hungry, ate the plate of rice without asking for permission. The furious grandmother beat her mercilessly and then used a hot pot to inflict serious injuries to her body as punishment.

Neighbours who heard heartrending cries of the girl were forced to intervene. They called to the police and informed officials of the state ministry of women affairs and social development about the incident. The police officers arrested the woman and took her to the Ibara police station in Abeokuta.

Adenike Osoba, the special adviser to the governor on women affairs and social development, and Wonuola Kassim, a senior social welfare officer, stormed the police station to monitor the case with a view to pursuing it to a logical conclusion. Speaking with journalists, Osoba expressed assurance that the law would take its course on the matter.

“The authority will not fold its arms and condone such illegality or allow anybody to maltreat children or any other person. The victim will also be taken to the ministry’s custody after proper medication,” she said. Confirming the incident, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the state police public relations officer, said that the suspect would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigation.

Commercial sex worker stabs client with broken bottle.

A commercial sex worker, Cynthia Edo, has been arrested in Lagos for stabbing a male customer, Kola Ayinla, with broken bottle 10 times. The police arrested Edo and took her to a nearby police station while the victim was rushed to hospital where doctors are currently battling to save his life.

Edo confessed to stabbing her customer with a broken bottle after he allegedly attempted to harm her with a charm while they were having sex. “On 10 February, 2016, the man came to my hustling joint on Rumen Avenue in Ikoyi, Lagos to approach me for till day break (TDB) sex contract,” she said.

“I agreed and charged him a fee of N20,000. He paid me and we lodged at a hotel at Ikoyi, Lagos to have the sex”. “While the sex was going on, I noticed that my customer attempted to bring out something like charm from his pocket to harm me”. “I quickly sprang up from the bed to confront my customer about what he was trying to bring out from his pocket, and in the process, an argument broke out which soon degenerated to a fight during which I broke a bottle and used it to defend myself.”

However, according to police sources the victim did not have a charm in his possession during the assault.  In his police statement from his hospital bed, Ayinla admitted that he had approached Edo for a TBD sex contract. “I was surprised that after one round of sex, Edo sprang up from the bed to tell me that the N20,000 I paid her had expired and that I would pay another N20,000″. “An argument broke out between us, and before I knew what was happening, Edo broke an empty bottle of beer and started stabbing me all over my body, with blood gushing out from all parts of my body.”

Edo was later arraigned before an Igbosere magistrates court on a one-count charge of unlawful assault under section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. She pleaded not guilty to the charge in the open court and the presiding Magistrate released her on bail of N100,000 with two sureties in the like sum. The magistrate then adjourned the case to March 3.
