The trio of Messers Kenneth Okoro (58 years old), Abolity A. Ogwu (65 years old) and Paul Ogwe aged (70years old) were alleged to have raped a 15-year old girl in Agbor community. Agbor is the administrative headquarters of Ika South local government area of Delta state.
The Delta state police command said some police officers apprehended the three elderly men after a report was filed at Agbor police station. While narrating the sad incident and how the men were caught, Delta state police spokesperson, Mrs Celestina Kalu stated that the rape suspects were arrested after the mother of the rape victim, Mrs Patricia Oroyelu filed a complaint at the police station in Agbor.
In the words of the police image maker, she said Mrs Patricia Oroyelu said the girl was raped several times by the three men, “taking advantage of the state of her (victim’s) health.” In a statement signed by Mrs. Kalu, it had it that: “Mrs. Patricia Oroyelu of Alisime, Agbor, reported at the Police Station Agbor that on 19/2/2016 that she discovered that one Kenneth Okoro (male) aged 58yrs, Abolity A. Ogwu (male) 65yrs and Ogwe Paul (male) 70yrs have severally been raping/defiling her 15 year-old daughter (Miss Oroyelu)’by taking advantage of her state of health.”
Afterwards, the three rape suspects were arrested and charged to court for further hearing of their case. In Ogun state, the monarchs there on Thursday, February 25, voiced out over the alleged rape of their women by Fulani herdsmen.
