See how this grandmother tortured her grandchild because she ate her food.

Tope-Oke
A wicked grandmother identified as Bosede Adebayo has brutally tortured her granddaughter, Tope Oke, with a pot of hot water for taking and eating food without her permission. According to New Telegraph the 8-year-old girl, a primary two pupil of St. James Primary School in Ijeun-Tuntun, Abeokuta, was admitted at the state hospital with serious injuries, while her grandmother was arrested by the Ogun state police command.

On the fateful day, the woman returned from a party with cooked rice served at the ceremony and kept it in the kitchen. The grandchild, who was very hungry, ate the plate of rice without asking for permission. The furious grandmother beat her mercilessly and then used a hot pot to inflict serious injuries to her body as punishment.

Neighbours who heard heartrending cries of the girl were forced to intervene. They called to the police and informed officials of the state ministry of women affairs and social development about the incident. The police officers arrested the woman and took her to the Ibara police station in Abeokuta.

Adenike Osoba, the special adviser to the governor on women affairs and social development, and Wonuola Kassim, a senior social welfare officer, stormed the police station to monitor the case with a view to pursuing it to a logical conclusion. Speaking with journalists, Osoba expressed assurance that the law would take its course on the matter.

“The authority will not fold its arms and condone such illegality or allow anybody to maltreat children or any other person. The victim will also be taken to the ministry’s custody after proper medication,” she said. Confirming the incident, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the state police public relations officer, said that the suspect would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigation.

A commercial sex worker, Cynthia Edo, has been arrested in Lagos for stabbing a male customer, Kola Ayinla, with broken bottle 10 times. The police arrested Edo and took her to a nearby police station while the victim was rushed to hospital where doctors are currently battling to save his life.

Edo confessed to stabbing her customer with a broken bottle after he allegedly attempted to harm her with a charm while they were having sex. “On 10 February, 2016, the man came to my hustling joint on Rumen Avenue in Ikoyi, Lagos to approach me for till day break (TDB) sex contract,” she said.

“I agreed and charged him a fee of N20,000. He paid me and we lodged at a hotel at Ikoyi, Lagos to have the sex”. “While the sex was going on, I noticed that my customer attempted to bring out something like charm from his pocket to harm me”. “I quickly sprang up from the bed to confront my customer about what he was trying to bring out from his pocket, and in the process, an argument broke out which soon degenerated to a fight during which I broke a bottle and used it to defend myself.”

However, according to police sources the victim did not have a charm in his possession during the assault.  In his police statement from his hospital bed, Ayinla admitted that he had approached Edo for a TBD sex contract. “I was surprised that after one round of sex, Edo sprang up from the bed to tell me that the N20,000 I paid her had expired and that I would pay another N20,000″. “An argument broke out between us, and before I knew what was happening, Edo broke an empty bottle of beer and started stabbing me all over my body, with blood gushing out from all parts of my body.”

Edo was later arraigned before an Igbosere magistrates court on a one-count charge of unlawful assault under section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. She pleaded not guilty to the charge in the open court and the presiding Magistrate released her on bail of N100,000 with two sureties in the like sum. The magistrate then adjourned the case to March 3.
