Yunusa’s father - my son was Oruru’s domestic help for 10 years

                  Yunusa Yellow
More revelations continue to emerge on the alleged abduction of Ese Oruru, the 14-year-old from her parents’ home in Bayelsa. Yunusa Yellow’s father, Dahiru Bala, in an exclusive interview with Vanguard, Wednesday, said his son was an house help to the Oruru’s family for 10 years in Yenagoa. According to Vanguard, he also said that he was opposed to the marriage of his son to Ese because he (Yinusa) was already engaged in the village.

His words: “ Yunusa was a domestic help to Oruru’s family for 10 years and when he told me of his love relationship with Ese, I opposed him because we already have a bride for him in the village”. Apart from being engaged, he also said allowing his son to marry Ese will be against his religion.

“The relationship between my son and Ese was built on ignorance of their religious background which made it difficult for any of us to support their marriage proposal”. Dahiru Bala revealed that the teenager reportedly said to be 5 months pregnant converted to Islam on her own free will. “Sequel to the request of Ese, she was converted to Islam on the order of the District Head before he was taken to the Emir’s palace for his final say”. “On arrival at the Emir’s palace, a senior counsellor who took the brief summon the Sharia Commission to take custody of Ese Oruru till the arrival of the emir the next day."

Shedding more light, Bala said that the emir who subsequently met with them ordered that the Sharia commission should liaise with the Assistant Inspector General of police, zone 1 to return her home with immediate effect. According to Yunusa’s father “the much anticipated return of Ese Oruru to Bayelsa was truncated by her when she broke down in the AIG office and raised questions on safety to her life back home. Subsequently, the move was halted to pave for investigation”.

The peasant farmer who was surrounded by his village men during the encounter said that “the last we heard of Ese Oruru was that she was in custody of Sharia commission who kept her in the home of the District Head at Kura”.

Abduction: 14-year-old Ese is 5 months pregnant

Freed Ese Oruru at Police Headquarters, Abuja, yesterday.
14 years old Ese Rita Oruru, the Bayelsa born girl child who was abducted by Yunusa Dahiru, alias Yellow but rescued by the Police in Kano, has according to Vanguard, been discovered to be about 5 months pregnant, very reliable sources have told Vanguard.

Consequently, it was gathered that the white Hijab dress she wore on her arrival from Kano on Tuesday, was used to cover the pregnancy even though her physical condition and looks created a suspicion. Vanguard was told that it was the condition in which Police authorities discovered about Ese that informed the IGP, Solomon Arase’s directive that she should be handed over to the Gender and Child Protection Unit and later, a team from the Medical Department of the Force to carry out a comprehensive medical examination of the girl-child at the Police Medical Facility in Area 1, Garki.

Upon certifying her medical status and emotional state, Vanguard gathered that the Inspector General of Police feeling uncomfortable with the transport arrangement of the mother that they return by road, cancelled the arrangement and directed that both Ese and her mother be flown to Yenegoa by air.

Meanwhile, the IGP has directed the Bayelsa State Police Command to take over investigation in the child violence offense saga because according to sources, the offense was committed in Bayelsa which is the place of residence of the abductor, Yunusa Dahiru. Consequently, Vanguard was told the Yunusa will be moved to Yenegoa to face interrogation and prosecution for kidnapping and child abuse as well as violence against a girl-child.

President Robert Mugabe proposes castration as punishment for pedophiles

President Robert Mugabe has come up with a solution to the growing rate of rape and child abuse cases. He said that castration of rapists and child abusers is the best way to stem the vice. The Zimbabwean president reportedly made this known while speaking during his 92nd birthday celebrations at the Great Zimbabwe Monuments on Saturday, February 26.

Mugabe said he was confused by people who abuse minors.

"What sex impulse is it which gets one to abuse a little child? I wonder what enough punishment for such people is," he said. "Can you suggest how such brutal monsters amongst us that rape babies should be punished … burdizzo (castration device) We should make them oxen, some people should be made oxen."
However, Mugabe noted that the government is going to attract the wrath of human rights defenders if it were to go ahead with such a plan.
"Again, human rights people will say it (castration) is too severe. Sharia Law says if you use your hand to steal, that hand must be cut off. Now you use what to abuse the child? I think that which you use should be cut off. They will go and get an artificial one (I)think," he said, amid laughter and applause from the thousands of villagers who braved the light showers that characterized the event.
The proposal seemed to get the backing of Vice-President Phelekezela Mphoko and Women’s Affairs minister Nyasha Chikwinya, Zimbabwe Southern Eye reports.

Danish woman adopts child left for dead by parents, names him HOPE

It took a tattooed Danish woman, Anja Ringgren Loven, a Damish woman, to save this little boy.
The boy who was named “Hope” by Anja was left to feed off road-side junk thrown at him by passers-by for 8 months in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom state.
Anja had to sell all her belongings to be able to care for Hope but thank God she has been able to raise $1 million for his road to recovery. The money was donated by Danes.
Anja made an important remark about the attitude of Nigerian leaders. She said,
“A promising child almost wasted by Nigerian government. I have adopt him as my son, his name is Hope Anja Ringgren. I have chosen to call the boy ‘Hope’, for right now, we all hope that he survives.”

I could not believe that this kind of practice still exists in Nigeria at this age of advanced technology and in an era of light over darkness. Whereas, it is a criminal offense in Akwa Ibom state, where Hope was found, to label a child a witch, but the practice persists.
So where was Akwa Ibom State government? Where are the Akwa Ibom state lawmakers? Where are the so called Christians and Muslims who ply the road of Uyo on daily basis and see the little boy but turn their eyes away? Where is the enforcement of our laws? Where is the monitoring system?

Man abducts 3-year-old girl, forces a stick into her vagina

A 3 year-old resident of Ikang in Bakassi Local Government Area, Cross River State, was abducted by a suspected ritual killer, and raped with a stick.

The culprit was caught inflicting wounds on the child at a place not faraway from where a 1-year-old child was found, murdered.

PUNCH reports that on February 28, the child was playing with her mates when she was taken by the unnamed man. In a nearby forest, the man reportedly forced a stick into the child’s vagina, and was discovered by people who went in search of the girl.

After being caught, the man was handed over to the police, while another group hurried the injured child to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital.

A staff of the teaching hospital, Mr. Uche Okoro, said the child’s condition was critical when she was brought in. Okoro also revealed to the press that the family of the suspected ritual killer offered to pay N10, 000 as part of the child’s medical expenses.

“The girl was already bleeding profusely because she had machete cut and a wood was forced into her vagina,” Okoro told the press. “At the moment, the hospital has carried out series of surgeries on her and she is in a stable condition. But the concern here is that a family showed up and offered to pay N10, 000 to offset part of the medical bill.”

“We found out that it was the family of the suspect,” Okoro said. “My worry here is that how is this possible? Or are they acting on orders of the police? We just hope that the police have not compromised.”

When contacted, a spokesperson of the Cross River State Police Command, Mr. John Eluu, said he was yet to be briefed on the case.

Masturbation during labour could be the solution to painful childbirth

Angela Gallo was in the grips of labour.

Contractions surged through her body and she felt 'fragile, helpless and overwhelmed' - but in that moment, she decided to masturbate.

While many would be shocked by this, Mrs Gallo insists that 'clitoral stimulation' worked as a natural pain relief and made the transition stage of childbirth more manageable.
While it is not uncommon for women to orgasm during childbirth, having an orgasm during labour as a non-sexual form of pain relief is a taboo topic rarely spoken about.

30 year old Mrs Gallo told Daily Mail that is one of the reasons she chose to share her story.

'Something I'm particularly passionate about is choices in childbirth,' she said. Women in mainstream birth cultures were limited with their pain relief options - with an epidural, gas or nothing at all being the main choices.

Mrs Gallo described her first birth as 'highly medicalised' and she underwent an epidural that left her feeling out of control of her body.

In her second labour, through masturbation she was able to have a birth free of medical interventions. It lasted for six hours as compared to her first labour which went for 45 hours.

She describes masturbation during childbirth:

"They were intense, yes. But the wildness of them felt ... electric. Sensual. Powerful. I remember one moment very vividly. As I neared transition (9-10 cm), I felt incredibly fragile, hopeless, and overwhelmed. (Transition can be such a fickle b***h!)

Masturbation made the MOST sense to me as I labored through my surges. I remember my husband saying, 'Would you like to have sex?' And although I couldn't commit to sex in the moment, he must have read my mind!

Clitoral stimulation worked an absolute TREAT. It shifted my focus to my vagina, to the energy brewing within me. It made me feel connected, and made me feel like I had some control over what I was feeling.

The surges were much more manageable, and the rest between them was so much more enjoyable. If I close my eyes now, I am taken back to that place. The hot water on my back, my husband's hands locked in mine, the safety of his presence, the happiness as I rode those wild waves."

Nipple, vaginal, clitoral stimulation, kissing, intimacy, affection; these all inspire the flow of our hormonal allies (oxcytocin, endorphin and adrenaline) in birthaccording to Mrs Gallo.
