Sexual violence: 400 women and girls abused in Enugu.

A coalition of non-governmental organisations, Women’s Aid Collective, WACOL and Tamar Sarc, has cried out over increasing cases of rape in Enugu State. According to them, girls and children between 05 to 10 years were being abused sexually.

While lamenting the increasing abuse of minors, Ezilo said, “right now there is a case we are handling; a particular primary school child suddenly started living a life of withdrawal, the teacher who had known her for long, made enquiries and discovered that her father has been abusing her.

62-year-old cobbler caught raping two minors after enticing them with Gala, Coke

                            

A 62-year-old cobbler, Ambrose Chukwudubem who was caught raping two girls, aged 11 and 12 respectively in Owerri, the Imo State capital has blamed the devil for the act.

Chukwudubem who was caught defiling the two girls who are in primary school was stripped naked and beaten mercilessly by some mob before he was rescued by the Imo Security Network, and taken to their station.

The 62-year-old who hails from Umuoparadim Community, Isu-Dimnanume in Nwangele Local Government Area of the state confessed to committing the act, saying he slept with each of them twice.
