GRAPHIC: Man stabs wife in the cheek, claims he saved her from attempting suicide.

According to Modern Kenyan Corps, the knife is still stuck to her cheek because Doctors at Wajir County hospital are still trying to figure out a safe way to remove the knife without causing more damage...



Mohammed Deeq (pictured above) has pleaded not guilty to stabbing his wife, Fatuma Ibrahim, in a Wajir court on Friday, January 8. He denied stabbing Fatuma Ibrahim and told the court he was trying to save his wife from attempting suicide. Prosecutor, Meroka Riech, requested more time to await the medical report. Resident Magistrate Bildad Rongocho ordered Deeq be remanded until January 13, when the case will be mentioned.

Deeq, who hails from Wajir East, appeared composed when brought to the courtroom which was packed with women and human right activists. He was accused of stabbing his wife on the cheek following a domestic squabble. Ibrahim, who was flown to Kenyatta National hospital on Thursday evening after the knife got lodged in her cheek, also suffered stab wounds to her thigh, abdomen and arms.

The doctors have already removed the knife after she was airlifting to Nairobi by Amref. The attack went viral on social media as Kenyans called for justice via hashtag #justiceforfatuma, and the maximum sentence for Deeq.

7 female Youth Corps members raped by robbers dressed in Police uniforms

                         
Seven corps members returning from the recent holidays were among the 16 passengers attacked by robbers at a spot on the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Sunday. The females among the corps members serving in Enugu and Ebonyi states were reportedly raped by the hoodlums who blocked the highway to stop vehicles.
A victim of the attack told the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu on Friday that the 16-seater bus carrying them was attacked by the robbers who disguised as policemen. She said that the bus left Television Garage in Kaduna around 8:30pm and was attacked a few kilometres away from the garage.
The victim further said the robbers mounted a road block to give the impression that they were policemen on duty;
“As we approached the road block, the driver noticed that they were not policemen and tried to retreat but it was late. The robbers sensing what our driver wanted to do, left other cars and descended on us,” she said.
The victim said that the robbers forcefully raped all the female corps members in the bus and took all their belongings which included laptops, jewelries, handsets, foodstuffs and money.
The corps member appealed to the government to ensure adequate security on the highways.

Man rapes unconscious teenage girl at a boutique

A 33-year-old man identified as Okechukwu Okere, has been arrested,charged,and remanded in prison custody for allegedly raping an 18-year-old girl at a boutique. 
At the court, the presiding magistrate, Mrs Joy Ugbomoiko ordered him to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.

The suspect allegedly went to the boutique located at 125, Lawanson street, in Itire area of Lagos where the victim is the sale’s person. In pretense of buying  clothes, he held her by the throat and threw her to the floor and she became unconscious.

According to PM Metro, while unconscious, Okere allegedly pulled the victim's pair of jeans trousers and underwear then raped her. While he was allegedly raping her, one of their neighbours identified as Innocent Chukwu who opened the boutique shop raised the alarm and alerted other neighbours who went there to rescue the victim.

During the rescue process, Okere attempted to escape but was prevented by the residents who apprehended and handed him over to the police at Itire division. The victim who was in comma was rushed to a hospital where she was later revived. She sustained injuries in her eyes and private part.

In a statement to the police, Okere admitted that he actually raped the victim and said that he did not know what came over him. Okere said he lives at 4, Smith Fadairo Street in Mushin and hails from Orlu in Imo State. He was charged with attempted murder, rape and assault under the Criminal Code.
When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr U. A. Oje informed the court that the victim was still lying in critical condition at the hospital because he held her throat tightly until she collapsed and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her. The court denied him bail and ordered that he be remanded in prison custody.
The matter was adjourned till 22 February, 2016.

The young man pictured above, was on his way to make preparations to deposit his father in the mortuary earlier today when a policeman allegedly shot him dead . The News NG reports that the man who hails from Abala in Obinggwa LGA, Abia State, was on his motorcycle, heading to the bank to withdraw money in order to make deposit at the hospital when a police officer tried to stop him. PHOTOS: Woman pours hot water on kid maid

                  

It was a sad day for 9-year-old Chinwedu Precious, a housemaid whose employer poured hot water on. Chiwendu's boss, Mrs. Ifeoma Mbakwe, 26, according to PM News, was arrested by the youths of the area and handed her over to the police.
The victim was rushed to REM-YEMS Hospital, Alagbado where she is currently receiving treatment and Mrs. Ifeoma Mbakwe has been arraigned in court.

An angry resident who identified herself as Mrs. Joy Sunday, described the action of Mrs. Mbakwe as wickedness of the highest order and advised relevant authorities to make sure she is prosecuted to serve as a lesson to others.
“The action of Mrs. Mbakwe is a disgrace to us who are women. How can a mother do this kind of a thing to another woman’s child and at the time everyone is celebrating?” Mrs. Sunday queried.
