Working Group of 8 ()WG8) on Violence Against Women (VAW) visits the Office of the Public Defender, Lagos state

The WG8, a coalition of 8 Civil Society Organisation (Alliances For Africa (AFA), Baobab for Women Human Rights(BAOBAB), Legal Defense and Assistance Project (LEDAP), Partnership For Justice(PJ),Project Alert on Violence Against Women (Project Alert),West African Network for Peace Building (WANEP), Women’s Consortium of Nigeria (WOCON),Women’s Rights and Health Project (WRAHP), that focus on Violence Against Women, last week paid a courtesy visit to the Director, Office of the Public Defender, Mrs Omotola Rotimi.
The visit was in regard to the group's aim at reducing Violence Against Women in Ikoyi and Ikeja Local Governments in Lagos State. Issues related to Domestic violence were discussed, as well as the best forms of interventions that can considerable reduce domestic violence in Ikoyi and Ikeja.
