An eyewitness via Facebook, reported to Naij.com that two women who stole money from a shop owner were publicly beaten and stripped by an angry mob after being caught. The women were said to have stolen the money when the shop owner went away to get what they went to buy. However, the man noticed that the women were trying to run away, and quickly returned back to find out what had happened.
After checking, it turned out that the sum of N5000 had disappeared from his shop. The women who made an attempt to escape were arrested by the shop womner's neighbours after he raised an alarm on the ladies. In the words of the women, they stole the money because they had lost their jobs, and had nothing to eat.
